Blog Tour - The Last Good Knight by Tiffany Reisz + Giveaway

Hey All-

If you have been a follower of my blog for a while, then  my love for Tiffany Reisz
and her books should not come as a surprise to you. I have read and will continue
to read everything this amazing lady writes.

But whenever I receive a new Tiffany book, it is always a love/hate relationship for me.
I love the fact that I have a new story from to her to read and devour. But I hate the
fact that I after completing the book I will have to once again wait to read something new from her.

When I saw she had a new Original Sinners novella coming out, I was super excited and
of course had to sign up to be a part of the blog tour. And I am hoping that this will
keep me content for a little while. Because even thought I already have an ARC of The Saint
waiting for me on my Ipad I am scared to start reading it! And this novella is exactly
what I needed to quiet the itch I get for a new Tiffany Reisz story.

Book Synopses:
The Last Good Knight: An Original Sinners novella told in five parts

Part I: Scars and Stripes - 4 stars!
It's lust at first sight when Mistress Nora encounters a sexy newcomer to The 8th Circle. She's happy for the distraction, since she left her lover, Søren, but her session with Lance is cut short when her boss, Kingsley Edge, reveals they're all in danger….

My Review:

This story starts off 3 years prior to the start of The Siren. It has been a few years since Nora broke things off with Soren and yet he still has the ability to make her desire him with just one look. Nora is disappointed when Soren steals her "date" for the night, but all that goes away when she sees a newcomer enter the club. And as her plans for the evening have now opened up she is eager to find out who this new comer is. Ex Navy Seal Lance, who is drop dead gorgeous and has some history subbing is exactly the kind of distraction that Nora wants and she is determined to get to know him really well. That is until something happens that may change her plans for the evening.

Once again I was immediately drawn in with the sexy and humorous writing. It was nice to start off with Nora's love for Soren. Having read and loved every moment of the Red Years, it is nice to see once again, that their love is truly never ending and always constant. Even when Nora "Hates him".  And even though we are being introduced to a new love interest and we are obviously meant to be rooting for, we are reminded of the connection between Soren and Nora.

Lance from the get go was just absolutely sexy. A tough ex-seal who is able to get vulnerable and become submissive. YES PLEASE! Immediately I loved the banter between Nora and Lance and once they got into her dungeon... pure wonderful reading :D And yes there is a nice little cliff hanger that makes you jump right into part 2!

Part II: Sore Spots - 4 stars!
With a potential stalker on the loose, Kingsley hires Lance as Nora's bodyguard, but stipulates no sex while he's on duty. Frustrated by the ex-SEAL's noble chivalry, Nora is driven to seek release with the one man she's trying to forget….

At the end of part 1, we find out that a female dominatrix has been brutally attacked by a client. In order to keep everyone safe, the beautiful Kingsley has decided to cancel appointment until the perp is caught. Since Nora has high-class client with high-class needs, her appointments can not be canceled so Kingsley hires Nora a bodyguard, which just so happens to be her new favorite sub, Lance. And in other to keep Nora's safety the highest priority, King's rules are simple: No Kink an No sex.

Nora is torn and frustrated which is not a good combination for our favorite Mistress. Even though she has only had one day with Lance and frankly she doesn't even know much about him, she is starting to envision a possible future with him and gasp, even could imagine having him collared. And she doesn't like the way it makes her feel. So what does Nora do when she is faced with an obstacle? She runs to Soren for him to "knock" some sense into her.

No Kink and No Sex - I am sure along with every reader of this novella, I was disappointed when I saw that. Yea yea Nora's life is in danger, but we just got a tiny taste of the amazing chemistry between Nora and Lance and now it is being taken away. Of course there is some amazing flirting and teasing going on, but you can never just have 1 potato chip and I definitely wanted more Lane and Nora scenes!! But I guess if you are going to take away what we want most, giving us a Nora and Soren scene was a good consolation prize.

Again here we are reminded about the depth of the love between Soren and Nora. As she lays in is arms, he gets her to open up about how she is falling for someone else. And despite the fact that she broke up with him - he still gives her some sound advice and consoles her. What a guy! But I still wanted more Lane and Nora I gotta admit! So I dove right in to part 3.

Part III: The Games Destiny Plays - 5 stars!
Shocked to see Nora's bruises, Lance is furious that she put herself in danger and demands to know where she got them. As Nora confesses her true nature, she's equally shocked to learn that Lance has some secrets of his own, drawing them together despite Kingsley's orders….

So I would have to say part 3 was my favorite - Okay not going to lie, I read this part twice! First off we have a scene where we see Lance protecting  Nora from a super handsy bodyguard of a new client. If that wasn't hot enough, then we have a completely sexy couch scene!!! Nora is frustrated that she can't get close to Lance, but if she can't touch him herself, there is no stopping him from pleasing himself for her. So yes - we get an amazing scene of Lance pleasuring himself for Nora.

The way Tiffany Reisz describes Nora's reaction to Lance, honestly makes it seem you are in there with them. And Frankly I think at this point you DO wish you were there! Just when Nora can't control herself anymore, she gets some good news. The Perp has been caught and she no longer needs a body guard!

Part IV: Fit to Be Tied - 4 stars
With her feelings for Lance warring with her recent encounter with Søren, Nora returns to Lance's bed and finds herself toying with the idea of…toying with him on a permanent basis. But after she gets a glimpse into his personal angst, Nora realizes she has the power to rescue this white knight….

This installment we get to see the softer and sweeter side between Nora and Lance. Now that the  danger has been taken care of, Nora is starting to truly consider whether she does want something permanent with Lance. Hearing them go through pros and cons about a possible relationship was hilarious. Most couples in a similar situation would discuss maybe location, work schedules even living arrangements. But no the things Nora and Lance discuss is completely different, hilarious but suitable for their lifestyle.

Despite how much Nora is starting to fall for Lance, she knows that the bigger question at hand is helping Lance solve a big problem that has to do with Lance getting joint custody instead of no custody of his 6 year old daughter. There is a scene where Nora over hears a phone conversation between Lance and his daughter which just made my ovaries hurt. God is there anything more sexy then a man who is  a good father. For me there sure is not. And that is exactly what Lance is,  a good father. And because Nora is desperate to see Lance get what he wants, she decides to seek out help from one of her more powerful clients.

Part V: The Last Good Night - 5 stars!
Now that the perpetrator has been apprehended, Nora sadly acknowledges she doesn't need a bodyguard anymore. She adores Lance and wants to keep him but is faced with a dilemmaâ€"if she uses her connections to help Lance, she'll have to give him up forever…

This last installment was just another reminder of the caring and selfless person Nora is. Actually some of the dialogue reminded me of similar conversations between Nora and Wesley. Nora takes Lance to meet one of her clients who just happens to be a judge. The Judge believes that Lance has a good case to get joint custody of his daughter. But there is only one deterrent: Nora. Even if her job as a dominatrix is not widely known, her job as an erotic author is. And the Judge foresees that coming up in a trial and hindering his overall case. Knowing that his relationship between his daughter is more important than their relationship, she does the only thing she knows how to do and orders him to go. But before he does they have one last night together and OH MY GOD, it was so beautiful and unexpected and had me sobbing! Ah how Tiffany Reisz is able to have you so utterly turned on and then crying like a baby in the same novella I have no idea, but she does!!!

All in all this novella was absolutely delicious and enjoyable and I know it will another one I re-read often. The only negative thing I can think of, is that now that the Red Years are over, we won't see Lance again. I would love to read more about him and to find out whether he does actually get his daughter.

But my favorite things about this novella was the way it ended. I loved how Tiffany started the novella and the ended of the novella in the same way - with Soren! Just a reminder of how strong and lasting their relationship is that regardless of who comes around they always end up back together!  This has me wanting to read The Saint sooo much more to find out how this love started. And knowing how freaking brilliant Tiffany is, she probably intended for us to feel this way after finishing this novella!  Thank you Tiffany for another amazing story!
