Goodreads Synopsis:

He’ll guard her body all night long.

Former Marine Jude Wilde’s motto has always been “burn bridges and never look back,” so nobody is more surprised when Wilde Security is hired to protect assistant district attorney Libby Pruitt, the woman he loved and left. Although she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Jude, they’re forced to fake a relationship for her safety. He can’t ignore the heat still simmering between them, and when her stalker’s threats escalate to attempted murder, he’s left with no choice but to whisk her away to a friend’s safe house in Key West, FL.

Cooped up in paradise together, Jude begins to chip away at Libby’s resolve to hate him. But even as she gives in to his proximity and her body’s demands for his, she refuses to fall for his charms again. Maybe a torrid affair in the sun is exactly what she needs to get him out of her system. But when her stalker tracks them down, can they escape the steamy Key West night without anyone getting hurt?

My Review:
Everyone has that one person in their past that they can't seem to forget about. The one that got away. The one that is the leading lady or leading male of each and every dream. The one that they think about when they're sad or lonely and the one they want to share their good news with. What if that person happens to be someone whose heart you broke? The last thing anyone would want is to have to spend every waking moment with that person. Unfortunately that is what is going to happen to Jude Wilde. Recently out of the Military Jude is now working for his family's Private Security firm, when an opportunity comes knocking that he does not want to answer.

Jude is hired to protect his former flame Assistant District Attorney Libby Pruitt. Libby has been receiving mysterious letters and threats against her life. And the only one her Father trusts to protect his daughter  is her ex flame. Stuck together in a safe house in Key West, they take trips down memory lane and Libby wonders why Jude left her the way he did. But as time goes by there seems to more than the story that Libby knows. Will she learn the truth about why Jude did what he did? Who is after Libby and Why? And will they be able to catch him? Wilde Nights in Paradise comes out on June 10th, buy the book to find out!

There were so many great things about this book. First of all once again Tonya Burrows has created a great cast of characters that you immediately get to know and love. Second, the story is so great and there are scenes that keep you on the edge of your toes, turning the page the to see what is going to happen next.

Also I highly recommend reading SEAL of Honor first, because Tonya throws in a surprise about a third into the book when you find out who the Hero of HORNET #2 is going to be. It was completely not who I was expecting it to be but I am happy about her choice and cannot wait to read more about him.

5 Reasons why Tonya Burrows is one of my new Favorite Authors!

1: Location, Location Location: In both SEAL of Honor and Wilde Nights in Paradise, Tonya has chosen exotic, gorgeous places to set her stories that are unique and different from other books. SEAL of honor takes place in Columbia and Wilde Nights in Paradise takes place in Key West, Florida. She does such a great job describing these locations it is as if you are actually there.

2: Shout out to our Service Men and Women: In most other books out there, the hero of the story is a billionaire  some supernatural or paranormal being or the boy next door. But Tonya brings attention to men and women who are not only heroes in her stories, but heroes in real life. Her heroes do not have a super power, but are real heroes who are loyal and brave and risk their lives to protect the ones they love and their country, just like actual members of the military.

3: Her heroines:  In Tonya's stories the heroines are not damsels in distress. They too are smart, strong and brave who can kick some ass! Even though they have strong men by their side who are there to protect them, they can also turn around and save their guys if need be.

4: Band of brothers: In both books there are an amazing group of men who are loyal, strong, and always have each-others backs. In Wilde Nights in Paradise they are actual brothers. You have your choice of 5 glorious Wilde men! And in SEAL of Honor, you have a group of ex-marines who have to work together on a mission. They all have unique stories, with different backgrounds, and different skills and all are oh so yummy!

5: Last but not least: GABE AND JUDE! "SIGH" oh boy what can I say about Tonya's 2 leading men! They are both incredible men, who I want to wrap up and take home with me. Funny, loyal, brave, stubborn, narcissistic  and  oh so damn SEXY! They also have so much depth behind them and  they deal with some raw and real emotions that just give you the FEELS! I can not get enough of them and can not wait to read more about them!
