Summary: Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither’s past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out—move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan.

But what Alayna didn’t figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He’s smart, rich, and gorgeous—the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson’s fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it.

Avoiding him isn’t an option after he offers a business proposition she can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she’s fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

My Review:

As I said above, I had been wanting to read this book for a while now. But one thing gets to another and books pile up and good books that you want to read end up on the bottom of your TBR file. But when I received a blog tour sign up for FIXED ON YOU, I knew I should sign up as an excuse to bring this book back up to the top of my TBR. And I glad that I read it sooner than later.

The starts off with Alayna, a 26th year old recent MBA graduate is working at her shift at the local elite bar. She is having a celebratory shot with some of her co-workers when she notices the most gorgeous man sitting at the bar eyeing her. Even though the attraction is instantaneous Alayna puts him in her no touch list. Not that he isn't everything that she wants in a man, but because he is EXACTLY the sort of man she should stay away from. Alayna has a bad case of OCD which tends to get in her trouble with men, and the hot guy in the suit is exactly the sort of man that could land in her trouble.

Despite her luck with men, Alayna has big plans for her career. She loves the nightlife and her job at the bar, and she has a desire to work up into management. But her career becomes uncertain when her brother tells her that he will no longer be paying for rent. Even if she lands a job in management her finances will be very difficult when her student loans start to come up and now that the bar has a new owner everything she has been working towards may go up in smoke.

When the time comes up meet the new owner of the bar, she is startled to find out that he is no other than the man in the suit, or also known as Hudson Pierce. And he has a proposition for her or 2 to be exact. Is interested in getting her into bed, but he also needs her help to break up an engagement, his own. Hudson needs his mother to get off his back about marrying his child hood friend Leila and he believes that Alayna is exactly the girl to help him achieve it. So he proposes a fake relationship to make everyone believe that they are in love and if she goes through with it he promises to pay off her student loans.

Alayna is curious why a man as gorgeous and successful as Hudson Pierce would require this type of proposition. But just as Alayna has the ability to love TOO much, Hudson has the opposite problem he is incapable of love. Can two people who have such extreme problems be able to pull of a sexual and a so call "work" relationship? Well you have to read to find out.

I have to admit that I enjoyed this book from the first few pages. The author has written such great characters and story that it keeps you invested and reading until it was over You are able to relate and connect to these characters from the first page. And after learning about mental illness and working with clients who had similar conditions, reading about Alayna's struggle with her obsessive thoughts was truly heart warming. Yes, this story is some what predictable, but it did not at all take away from how  much I enjoyed it. Luckily I already have book 2 in this series and hopefully be reading it very soon!

About Laurelin

Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
